Teachers' Words

“The students engaged with the art therapists in a really positive manner, and the sessions helped them manage the busyness of a school day”
Elisabeth Alldred, SEN lead at St Laurence
“The Portable Wellbeing Studio was proudly parked on the school grounds for four months. During this time, 11 children visited to support their own wellbeing programmes. The work was art therapy based and the feedback from the children is that they felt their sessions were very helpful. The opportunity to have the wellbeing studio allowed the children to talk and discuss their worries, concerns and successes in a safe environment. The studio was cleverly set out and well resourced. Many of the children now feel better placed to access further support within school, whereas before they may have found it difficult to 'open up'. It was a great initiative and I would highly recommend other schools and institutions consider the wellbeing studio as part of their support for mental health awareness”
